Down to the final 10

So today we are 29weeks and 5days. Ava Rose has been being real active. At our appointment this morning, she measured out at 3lbs11oz, which is in the 80th percentile. She let us get one good picture of her little foot! and guess what, just like Daddy her bigtoe and the toe next to it are the same size. I sure do love those cute little toes!
We also got to see the hair on her head today. Guess the old wives tale about heartburn is true.

This appointment also started the down hill stretch of appointments. Now we will go in every 2 weeks for routine check ups! This means 5 more appointments and she will be here!

Chubby Cheeks

So we had to wait until we made it to 28 weeks before Aunt Phyllis would do a 4D sonogram. Well time has finally come.
Before starting the 4D we scanned Ava Rose just to check everything out. Her heart rate was 150, right on track with what we have been getting with our doppler. Feet were precious, little hands too! She measured out to be about 2lbs 14oz. just above the average. She was sucking her thumb through the first part of her pictures.
Time for 4D! She has the cutest little nose. And Chubby Cheeks!!!! I wish everyone could have seen Brian's face as he was watching what she looks like. He was beaming!
I'll post pics this weekend, gotta get them scanned to the computer!

13 weeks to GO!

Ok so we are 27weeks now! She should be around 2lbs. and by now she should be opening and closing her eyes. Very exciting!

Monday I took the gestational diabetes test and what happens... I fail by 2 points! Of course I tried to sweet talk Dr. Gebhart into letting me slide and not do the 3 hour next Monday but it didn't work. So Monday I have to be at the dr's office at 7AM--OHMY! I don't get up that early!
Other than failing the GD test, Everything is going smoothly right now. My belly measured out just right, iron level was good, weight was good. Sonogram is scheduled in 3 weeks, Nov 23rd.

Halloween was fun! I painted my belly to look like a pumpkin! Ava Rose wiggled the whole time i was painting, not sure if it was cold or if it tickled!Brian was so worried that the paint was going to hurt Ava Rose. I had to paint take pictures and wash it off. He is so protective and its CUTE!

15 weeks to go!

We are 25 weeks this week! According to the trusty babycenter website, she should be about 1 1/2lbs, the size of a rutabaga, even though I think she must be a little more than that. :)

Ava Rose is becoming more active everyday. Recently she has found her way into the right side of my ribs. Luckily she hasn't been kicking them too hard. And travel isn't quite as easy as it has been in the past- Half hour is about all i can do in the car before I have to get out and stretch!

I had a Dr. appointment a coulple of weeks ago. Everything was great. She has a wonderful heart rate, and Dr. Gebhart said my belly is looking nice and big! I go in on Nov. 2nd for another appointment and they will do the glucose test. I have to remember not to eat fruit loops or anything else with sugar! At the last appointment I had fruitloops and OJ so my sugar count was a little on the high side!

Carpet for Ava's room should go down with in the next week! YAY! And her dresser should get painted withing the next couple of weeks. I am almost through with everything! Still having to keep myself away from the clothing section at the stores--her closet is full already :)! Sweet baby might be a little spoiled!

Daddy Felt the Kicks!

Ava gave her daddy a great surprise last night! She kicked his hand several times! Brian grinned from ear to ear and kept saying "THATS COOL". Now the pregnancy is becoming even more special to him. I am so glad he finally got to feel her!

Tuesday she had the hickups for the first time that I could feel! She made my belly bounce for about 5 minutes. It was the cutest thing!

As for me, I had my 22week checkup today. Ava's heart rate was 148bpm. Dr. Gebhart said that my belly is measuring perfectly along with my weight. And a lesson learned is to not eat fruitloops and drink orangejuice right before a visit... they thought there was a problem with my blood sugar, but it was just breakfast :)
My next Appt is scheduled for Nov. 2nd. & Hopefully we will have our 4D sonogram shortly after that appt.

Half Way There!!!

Oh my goodness! Half way! I am so excited. This pregnancy is going by so fast. Ava's kicks are getting a little stronger everyday. We figured out that she doesn't like anything to sit on her mommy's tummy, wether it be daddy's hand or clothing. Let Brian rest his hand on my belly and she will go to kicking, unfortunately he still can't feel them. Hopefully he will be able to in the next week or so. The sign is what daddy picked out for her door! It's so true! :)

We took a trip to the beach this past weekend. It is our last trip until Ava gets here. The water was a little rough so I only got in to take a few pictures. Not only did we do a little shopping, Brian got to go fishing off of the new pier. Then went to Fort Morgan-through a little history in on the trip since Brian really likes that kind of stuff! What a nice way to relax for a few days

Work on Ava's room is coming along now. Daddy bought her a pink shelf. He used the hammer that he bought her on the trip to put it together. He picked out the cute Princess sign to put on the top of it. To go in the shelf, he bought her her first JohnDeer Tractor book! She is going to be so Spoiled!

18weeks

Ok so I am a week late with this post. We went Tues to have a Level 2 Anatomy Scan. Everything was perfect. Dr. Bofill found every vital organ and they all measured out right. She weighed 8oz./ 1/2pound! So far she doesn't like having her picture taken. While we were trying to print out pictures, Ava Rose kept puckering her lips. It was adorable but didn't give us a great profile pic of her. As soon as we stopped printing pictures she relaxed those little lips and sat pretty for us. Brian did throw a little fit during the sonogram, his little princess wouldn't close her legs. He kept telling me that we had to work on that, she needs to keep them shut. :) I'll try to scan the pics and post one soon.

Today we went to start our baby registry at BabiesRUs and Target. Brian was in charge of the scanner-and yes he tried to scan everything! As workers walked by he told them we didn't need help because he had the Scan Gun.I think everyone in the store was getting a good laugh. What a proud Daddy!

Everything is starting to seem more and more real to us.I can't believe we have almost made it halfway through this journey! So much to do before she gets here!

17weeks

This week Ava will have her own set of fingerprints. She also is starting to hear much more, so we talk to her even more than we have been. Daddy tells her he loves her every night. Its the sweetest thing. He doesn't go to sleep until he rubs my belly to let her know he is right next to her.

Ava bedding is in her room. Carter's Love Bug. It has the cutest danty lady bugs and butterflies, and polka dot sheets. I am painting canvas to go on the wall with her name on them. Lots of polka dots, I didn't think I would every get the last one painted. :) They are looking so cute. Once I get everything finished I will post pictures.

Next appointment is on Tuesday. Dr. Bofill will do a full anatomy scan, checking all of her vital organs. Can't wait to see my precious Ava!

16weeks1day

Well we got our confirmation today, the Baby is a GIRL! Ava Rose Weaver! As soon as we started the sonogram her legs were spread wide open. I think its from the talk I had with her before we left the house about cooperating. Her heart rate is 143bpm.
The funniest part about the sono was finding out her estimated weight. 6oz! In the 89th %.
We got to see both kidneys and a bladder which to us was such a relief since that was the main problem with our angel. The brain looked great and her heart has 4 chambers.
Ava Rose did not want her picture taken today. All we needed was one of her profile. She kept her head facing away from us, so we tapped on my belly trying to get her to move. With each little push we gave her, she would throw her hand up. Almost as if to tell us go away, Brian thought it was her way of flipping us off. Eventually we did get a good picture.YAY!
We will go on 9-1 to do a full anatomy scan with the specialist.

Ava Rose has been moving around more and more. The first time I felt her was on Brians birthday, 7-3. Right now she is kicking the left side of my belly! She sure does have a punch/kick too! I'm in for it when she gets farther along.

14Weeks

Wow! I have finally hit the 2nd Trimester! This is a great milestone to reach! I have been feeling little twinges in my tummy that i know are not gas! Brian tries to feel but it is still too early for him. Not much longer until he gets to feel his little sweet pea!

Yesterday (14W2D) we did a sono to try and get a sneak peak of what the baby is. We have an idea, but because she wouldn't open her legs all the way and stayed in a breech position, it was hard to tell.
She was so modest. Her umbilical cord was between her legs blocking our view. When the cord moved a little for us, we saw hands go straight between the legs. Sweet baby just didn't want us to get a glimps.
We are going to go back within the next week to try to confirm are suspisions, even though we are 95%sure!

Also, did anyone notice the 12week sonogram? The way the baby was positioned, she made a HEART out of the sac, her feet pushing down the bottom point and her neck making the top! Just wondering if I was the only one that noticed!

12weeks

Today we are 12weeks along. Only 28 more to go! Wow that seems like along time.
The specialist did our sonogram today. Everything measured out perfectly. He said that he is not worried and the baby looks great! Lots of fluid and good movements! Baby didn't want to take a picture. at first he was just hanging around, literally back in the air, didn't want us to see his little face. But as we scanned he finally turned! we could see the lens' in his eyes. And boy was he kicking his feet! I can't wait until i can feel those little kicks!

Begining of Scrapbook

So I am going to scapbook this pregnancy from begining to end, just as I did with Landon. A little background on the rainbow- I use babycenter to talk to others who have lost babies and are pregnant again. We call a pregnancy after a loss a "RAINBOW BABY" so when I started this page I knew that only a rainbow and the words from Somewhere Over the Rainbow would do!

11 Weeks 1 Day

Today we went for our 11 week sonogram. The baby measured right on target. Feb 3, 2010 is still our due date. His/her heart rate was wonderful 159bpm. The baby was about 2 inches long & sqirmed all around the screen doing flips and turns. It was just amazing seeing how far we have come since our last visit 4weeks ago. We did some profile scan of the baby and its Brian's profile. His words were "I know this is my baby!" all i could do was laugh and ask who else do think this baby belongs to. HAHA. We asked lots of questions about every little detail we saw. The sonogram tech said that everything looks very good. I go on July 22 for our first scan with the specialist. We are looking forward to seeing the baby again next week.

Hearing the Heart Beat

Second sonogram went perfectly. We measured the baby at 7weeks on June 17th making our due date Feb 3, 2010! Brian and I were very anxious all morning. As soon as we started the sonogram we could see the little heart beating, 141bpm! Beautiful music to our ears!

We are scheduled to go for a third sonogram on July 16th.

First Sonogram Appointment

Monday June 8th 2009. We went for the first sonogram but just as i thought we were to early to see the babies heartbeat, not quite 6weeks yet. Everything looked great. Next sono appointment scheduled for June 17th.

Finding Out the Good News

On May 24th, Brian and I got the wonderful News! As we waited on the digital HPT, Brian looked at me and said "Your Pregnant!" I really thought he was picking and told him to wait until it finished. At that point he handed me the test to see for myself!

We were both in shock & excited! But we had to wait to tell our parents until we confirmed with the doctor on Tues 26th.

We suprised them with a onsie that said "what happens at Grandma's stays at Grandma's" and a passie. They were very excited!

First sonogram on June 8th!
